About Me

As a mother of 2, I am well aware that as parents, sometimes it’s less about thriving and more about simply surviving.  When we realize that our children are struggling, our first instinct may be to worry profusely with a desire to immediately remediate the cause for concern.  The first insight into our children’s challenges may initially come from a relative, physician, or a teacher.  It may be difficult to know where to start or how to navigate the best path forward.  I can assist with developing personalized plans for children both within the home and school settings.  Additionally, I can guide parents through the process of school selection, 504/IEP implementation, and prioritizing referral to specialists.   

I am a pediatric occupational therapist with 19 years of experience, certified infant massage teacher, and have a master’s degree in Family and Human Development. Throughout my career, I have worked with children and families in many settings including the hospital, private practice, school, and  home.   I have extensive experience and specialized training working with children that have a variety of challenges in areas of; sensory processing, communication,  motor strength and coordination, feeding, behavior, and generalized developmental delays. Additionally, I believe in the strength of prevention by helping families understand typical development, and teaching them how to foster growth through their relationships and experiences.   

I enjoy working closely with families and educators to assist with recommendations, classroom modifications and treatment prioritization. I believe it is essential to help parents and teachers learn  how to understand and embrace the individual differences of their children.
